    It depends on your niche some niches are good with even 1 post a month and some needs several posts per hour :)

    I write about 1 post per day when I'm active.
    My posts are between 1000 and 3500 words long.
    Some days I don't write at all and other days I write 3 posts.
    Since the blog is kinda new I am not getting more than 150 visitors per day from search engines-

    Some days I get bursts of 8000 people coming to my website due to stumbleupon.

    I don't even write a single post daily, but whenever i write like in 10 days or so i write from my heart and try to put the most in my blog posts.

    It doesn't really matter how many.
    I mean, if I write one article that is 3500 word long and you write two articles that are
    about 500 word long, then I will still have written 2500 words more than you.

    Longer articles tend to rank better according to me. But they have to maintain a higher quality
    than other peoples articles and they also need a few backlinks to get noticed.

    As i said content is king, Unique content and genuine idea doesn't come every day. You'll spam your blog to follow three of four post rule. So better to stick with 3/day for new and 1/day for old blogger.
