How many blog post in general "should" a blog have before its worth driving traffic to it ? 20 post ? 10 ? I have read around that if you have too little it may discourage the visitor to stay and read. Thank you for reply
the more post you have the more traffic youll get buddy....always post new info so visitiors stick around your blog
I would say at least 2o give the people a variety that's what i did with my movie review blog and its doing great right now.
I have seen traffic after just 3 posts, but then again my sites are not about building loyalty but driving traffic out to affiliate and paid search links. If you are paying to drive traffic to your blog and plan to build up a following then you probably need to be at least 24 post over 2 months. What you should think about is having a variety of blogs with auto populated content driving value back to your handwritten blog... i do this on several of my projects and it's very effective. Of course the content needs to be unique but there are some brilliant content systems out there... pm me if you want some recommendations.
You can have 10 posts on your blog, if they are very informative and worth reading people will stick around because they will want to read more of what you say. There is no magic number in the amount of posts you should have before driving traffic to your site. You can have a handful of posts, if one of them goes viral you will see a great amount of traffic from it and a lot of those viewers will come back to see more of what you talk about. Not to mention if your blog is monetized, some of that traffic will convert for you as well.
Honestly I don't think it's the number of posts you should have. But I will say that you should have at least 5-7 stunning/great articles. You don't wanna have a bunch of crappy articles. Go for content and not quantity.
I start driving traffic to a new blog with the first post... make it something that will draw the visitors back and from then on they will spread the word about your site
What I do to generate traffic from the start is I optimized my blogs as if I was writing a sales letter for a website. I do my keyword research with Google Adword Tool. I make a conscious attempt to use my keyword in 7% of the article in different variations. Try also to use a keyword that has less than 5000 competitors.
