Other then the google search option there are lots of tools available for webmasters that would enable you to check for backlinks among other things. here is one http://www.webtoolhub.com/

No, Google does not show all backlinks, better try Yahoo Site Explorer.
    site:sitename.com in Yahoo

I suggest you to use this - Site Explorer - will give more accurate backlinks than Google ..

Or else, you cam use this comment: linkdomain:www.example.com in Yahoo..

The only other tool besides yahoo site explorer that I like is Link Diagnosis. It's very helpful in researching your competitors as well. :D

Guys all tools are useless. I have used many tools but not give perfect results. Yahoo site explorer is the best.

Thanks guys i've tried the yahoo explorer and backlink.nu. They both provided the same results. I did look at the webmaster tool but had to verify with a meta tag. I have'nt got round to doing this yet. So when i have done this i shall see what information that produces. By the looks of things I think i need to get creating more backlinks.
