what is the difference if you have 50 backlinks or 1000? huge difference? no difference? where do you start to see a difference? dont say that the more the better... there must be some limits or breaking points. my guess is that if you have 100 its already all right and that having 500 more does not make a big difference.
sometimes 100 links will be enough to take first place, and sometimes 100,000 wont be. it all depends on the competition for the niche and keyword, the quality of the links, your on page seo and more.
That depends on your niche. If your niche is very competitive, you need more links to get stable. However, when you get 1000 links, you have to make sure that you have spread it for about 60-90 days inorder not to get deindexed/banned from google.
i think it depends on theme related ones and how high the pr is if you can find a PR9 theme then you wont need 100,000 even 50 pr5 would be good long as they are related and do follow.
SEO is not a quantity game, 1 link can make the difference, 1 link from a targeted and relevant article from CNN or nasa can improve your rankings from top 50 to top 5.
dont focus on the number of backlinks so much, rather focus on quality. you may get better benefit from 10 quality backlinks than 1000 low quality links. how many links you will need will depend on your niche and your competitors. given that the links are same quality, you will need more links than your competitors to push them down and get ranked higher.
Your website may only have 1000 links and a competitor may only have 2 but if they have been online 10 years more than your site then they will rank higher.
Getting backlinks takes alot of hard work and time. You should not pay for links or use a backlink software. Having a 100 links from high page rank sites are alot better than a 1000 sites with zero page rank.
Yah sadly domain age is a BIG buffer in the early months of competition for a new site. But once your around a year old, that really starts to diminish and backlinks will push you to the front page of the SERPs. Its all about the quality of the inbound links for competition, so the # isn't quite as important. You could have 10,000 junk, spam links, and be losing to a site with 500 quality backlinks.
You'll know the answer when you rank 1st for you chosen keyword(s)! You've just got to keep building the links from a variety of relevant, quality sources. No easy route to getting to the top.
Depends where the links are- 1000 links on pages of links are probably not as valuable as 50 links in good articles that relate to your site.
It depend on the quality of those baclinks. 100 good backlinks worth 1000 bed (or even 10000, who knows).
depends on the competition if its low it will take few backlinks but for me and my niche it will take several hundred thousand.
