I know there is no exact count on no. of backlinks before you get a PR and it depends on the quality of backlinks you get if it is very high PR'ed website. But let's say I will build backlinks from 500 PR1 do followed websites. Is it enough? Thanks!
I'm not actually into PR1 I just use PR1 as an example to get an estimate. IS that true one PR 5 backlink = Sure PR1? How come I think digital point is PR4 now and I have links posted here but I'm still PR0? What do you mean by 3.4? 3400?
a link on a PR3 is enough . 3 links on a PR 2 should get you PR1 (as long as the website you have the link on don't have too many outgoing links ) and yes,500 PR1 backlinks would get you PR1
"IS that true one PR 5 backlink = Sure PR1? How come I think digital point is PR4 now and I have links posted here but I'm still PR0?" because your link is not on a page with PR4 .you need to have the link on a page with PR .if the domain has PR4 does not mean the page your link is has PR
A Single PR6 link can take you to PR1 or PR2as well. And 0 backlinks with fresh top notch quality content will take you to PR1 as well [Take my words on that, its Possible], and on the other side even if you manage to get 4000+ low quality links, still sometime you won't manage to get a PR1. So its all about quality, not the quantity.
You need to give it some time, new PR is only visible every few months. Maybe you're PR5 already without knowing it
A good and relevant PR link will give you more boost then backlinks with no relevant at all. so a small list of relevant backlink will give you good PR then more irrelevant backlink
a quick google search will bring up many opinions, but if you don't know how to use google, here is a quick chart http://www.amapanet.com/how-many-backlinks-need-to-get-certain-pagerank.html
Click? why? Ahh!! No Need for clicks, Just place your link with your anchor text and forget it, G Bot comes, crawls and Pass on PR juice for your url. [If its Dofollow] Now, what is PR Juice? PR Juice depends on the outbound and inbound links to that PR page, niche relevancy and quality of the link.
I am surprised to see that a thread like this has gone on for so long and noone has given you the correct answer yet. The answer is 1. Or maybe 2, or maybe 3. Or maybe 100. Or maybe 500. Actually, it's possible to have 500 backlinks, and still not achieve a PR1. Why you ask? Because it DOESN'T MATTER HOW MANY BACKLINKS YOU HAVE. It's not the QUANTITY of backlinks you get that determines your PR. It's the QUALITY. Consider this. You can achive a PR7 with ONE BACKLINK. Yes, that's right. Just one. One very high quality backlink from one very high quality PR8 or pr9 site. I've seen it happen. Then again, if you only have 500 backlinks from a bunch of crappy pr0 sites, then it's likely that your site will remain a PR0.
You're missing the point of PR. PAGES are assigned PR. Not SITES. So, even though DP might have a PR of 5, show me a single page that has PR5 that you have a link on. Looks like all of the sites you have a link on have a PR0.
No, that's not possible. Pagerank is ONLY accrued through backlinks from other sites. But at least you get the point.
