Anyone ever thought about how many backlinks they would get if they got sued by Google? or eBay? or any major site? Shawn's battle with the MPAA got him a few I'm sure, not to mention a huge boost in traffic when his blog hit Digg's front page. Just a thought, I don't plan on attempting to get sued.
LOL Don't do it to Google without making sure you are not breaking their terms of service and gets you banned! Of course if you follow the rules and force google to sue you over a seperate matter you could then sue them if they dumped you from the serps. I take it you've got the funds to defend such a case
If you make this idea itself a little more funny and nonsense and blog about it...you might actually get good links heh...of course i dont know if you should...don't blame it on me if you happen to waste hours
This is one of this type of crazy ideas that might actualy work ) like the miliondollarpage only that is most risck you get sue from google and have tu pay a huge sum maybe you invested that sum in backlinks
My reason for this thread is to stir thought about gaining backlinks. Thinking outside the box is essential to any successful site/business. I see everyone submitting to 1,000s of directories or trying to make the co-op/linkvault do all the work & then whining that their site's are penalised or not even indexed. Don't get me wrong, directories & co-op are good but don't rely on them completely.
Instead, why don't you create 2 press releases. The first will announce that you're preparing a lawsuit against Google. The second will announce that you decided to drop it. In this country there has to be at least 101 fake reasons you could give in your announcements and anything "Google" gets picked up in the press.
