How many backlinks (roughly) does it take to improve a website's PR? I assume there's different quality of backlinks so maybe someone has a chart of some sort to explain this. Give your thoughts, please. Regards,
It's kinda hard to say really. The Google PR is done in a way that makes sense, but then doesn't. There are sites with 1k backlinks and a pr of 3 and there are sites with 1k backlinks and a pr of 1. It depends on the pr of the page the backlink is coming from. So, if you have ONLY 1k backlinks all from pages or pr 3, then it's safe to assume you'd get a pr of 3...I guess. Just build links to your site and Google updates pr quarterly so find out that way. I don't think anyone know of a chart or anything, I've never really thought about it that way.
Thanks for your reply. Another thing I was just thinking about is; what defines a quality backlink? Does that refer to the PR of the site where it comes from or the post you made with the link attached to it? Regards,
Page Rank is based on your backlinks; so, the more quality backlinks you have, the better PR you'll get by the next update.
Link quality will always be more important than link quantity .... 10 PR4 backlinks will always have more weight than 100 pr 0 - 1. Its all about the link juice.
Get SEOquake plugin for firefox. You can check the pagerank of each website. I don't know the exact numbers but 1 PR 8 link is better than 500 PR 3 links and 5000 PR 1 links. So yea, try to have some high PR backlinks pointing to your site. Even if the mainpage of EZA is PR 6 or 7... the article you just created has a PR of 0. Eventually, if you send enough views to that article it will go into top 15 most viewed and you'll have some links juice directly from ezinearticles.com, thus giving your article a PR of 3. Also you can do high PR blog commenting. Google that term to understand it better. You can also buy sidewide links (sidebar, footer) for xx / year (depends on page rank and traffic, a PR 5 is something like 100$-150$ / year).
It depends on which sites you create backlinks for your site. High PR of the site or directory in which you are submitting, is also helpful for getting good PR for your website. You should also take care that you are not submitting your link to the directories those are using same C class IP because if it is so then it will considered as only one backlink even after submitting links in 100 directories.
That's the secret to heart of our web business. Ohhh but if we only knew. Actually I'm glad no one knows... do you know how much competition there would be for certain keywords??? Wow!
Hello, there are very many backlinks around the websites, maybe some of them are just be ads, while some another are actually save our problems ,so they improve the website's PR in some pionts. It depends the comment of those link.
yes, it depends on quality back links instead of quantity of back links and it also depends on your content to get good backlinks.
Developing quality backlinks will give you high PR. The more the better but have quality high PR backlinks is the most key.
hi deanny, it depend on no of quality back links. You can get your pr+ in just 4-5 Quality and Google friendly back links.
This depends on many factors: amount of inbound links, their quality, their Google PR, age of domains linking to You...
acklinking is an indefinite business - a good site suppose to get back links automatically every month. So google look out for that. If suddenly your site stopped getting backlinks that means there are some problem and google will sniff out the reason
