I am new to this stuff, and I am still learning. Would you guys recommend a certain number of backlinks I should aim to build per day? Thank you!
ooops. my collegue told me 100 or so is OK. 1-5? how come? But i am a new fish in this line, too. So anyone can tell me why? detailly?
You can add 1,000 new backlinks a day for several weeks and you'll be fine. At least I was fine on a site when I was running some major campaigns and getting 1,000 new backinks (according to yahoo and webmaster tools) a day and never had any problem with the search engines.
10-20 approved quality links works fine on me. I suggest you also limit your self at that average numbers.
To be honest, it may take a while for your backlinks to be found by the search engines, so there will always be variations each day for new found links. It is time consuming to find valuable ones, but it is these ones you wanna focus on most.
Any amount of backlinks is reasonable just as long as you maintain that mount every day and not just have a huge spike of back links 1 day and none for the rest of the week.
Try to be consistant, but not exact each day, if you start off doing 100 per day try to do around 100 a day ongoing.
Like most people, I too would suggest 15-20 links a day. More than quantity, go for quality like high pagerank sites. Even if the individual pages of the site do not have a high pagerank, but the main domain has a solid pagerank, then you should get a lot of linkjuice out of it.
Pay absolutely no attention to anyone saying '1 or 5, or 10, or even, 100'. So if a brand new website goes live and has enthralling content that 100,000 people want to link into, your telling me it would carry penalty? Ridiculous. Try not to 'build' links, but try link baiting, write some great content, hot off the press and watch the organic links come rolling in.
Exactly. Forgive them, they are caught in fearful superstitions and brainwashed by false gurus. @barbrine, "what does quality link mean? Those high PR ones?" quality links or quality sites... there is no definition, that's why they use the term: it sounds so innocent, and no one can argue. 9 out of 10 people here just parrot what they've read with no idea if it's correct. (They don't have the balls to test it), but that doesn't make them bad people, they are just trying to help. Bompa
I'm used to post 60 to 80 backlinks a day. Half of them are quality backlinks while other are posted on PR0 websites and forums. I don't use automated tools and I do all of them manually.
