How many backlinks is good to have?

    Hi everybody,

    I just checked my backlinks for my site and i have a result of 5500.
    I am wondering if this number is good..My site is PR3. How many backlinks do i need to get a PR4 ?

    PR doesn't really matter unless you are selling links and there is no way to tell how many links you would need to get a PR of 4.

    You could have a PR4 website with 5 backlinks and a PR3 with 5000.

    Think more about quality, not quantity.

    If you have a few very related backlinks to your content, then you're doing much better than if you had a bunch of unrelated links.
