how many backlinks is enough??

We have over 6000 backlinks , but our competitors have more! when does Google say enough is enough ... and is 6000 a lot ??

I seem to be constantly back linking!

there is no fixed number for backlink
if you can build 10s of thousand do it it will always help you

 

It doesn't matter on how many links you have so much as the 'quality' of those links!

 

This depends on many factors... here's the main two:

1. The quality of those links. One link from a PR 9 site may be worth more than thousands of crappy links.

2. The competition for the keyword you are trying to rank for. If you're trying to rank for a huge keyword like "Hotel" then ... well, you probably should find an easier KW to rank for! The point is - you may only need 1 link to rank #1 for a long tail keyword but a million to rank for an extremely competitive KW.

 

We can't say the quantity. You better concentrate on the quality. I had seen sites which have backlink more than hundred thousands.

 

Backlinking is an on going process and there can never be an end to it!

Just take care to have them from relevant sites and in the quantity/speed which is humanly possible!

There is no limit on the number of backlinks try to get as many backlinks as possible since your competitor is always trying to outplay yoy. So more the number of links more you will benifit.

Yes, I completely agree with "Righman". Backlinking need on regular basis if you want to promote your website or if you want to stable on top places in SEs.

Suppose you have good place right now in SEs but if you will leave backlinking work for your website then you can go down because your competitor are doing it regular.

Use backlinks from high PR websites related to your niche. Also check if the website content is relevant enough to your niche.

You should also review your onpage SEO. Ranking is not just about number of backlinks. Proper On page and off page SEO is important.

You need more backlinks than your competitors generally.

However, better quality backlinks and good keyword optimization can do wonders and help you beat out your competitor even if they have more backlinks.

I think when the total number of backlinks exceed CNN, that will be quite enough. Actually, backlink is never enough, since dead links are removed continually.

There is no limit you want as many links as you can possibly get.

no limit for backlinks, you can find dofollow and high pr blogs, website, social bookmarking website, submit there. your competitor have 6000 means you must have atleast 10k permanent links.

 

Don't stop building links. It's a non-stop, slow but steady process.

 

Totally agree, slow, steady, high quality... just dont have the time so need a expert to get stuck in for me!!
