How many maximum backlinks should I get from a single website? I know that getting too many backlinks from a single website is not going to benefit much. I have an option to get either 10 baclinks or 30 backlinks from a website (ALL PR 3 pages), I am just wondering which package should I go with?
There's a piece of information missing here - what's the price difference? If the price is identical then go for 30. You'll surely get more traffic from 30, and Google does give some value to additional links from the same domain. However, the principle of diminishing returns definitely does apply so I don't think I would pay much more for the 30 unless the traffic increase was worth it.
Hi, In my own experiences, it might be meaningless to compare these 2 back linking methods since the most important issue would be how many links search engines would pick up. Generally speaking, having back links from more IP (domain) sources would be helpful in increasing link popularity. All the best,
Mandaar, there is additional link juice passed from multiple links from the same domain. Google has said this many times. There is no question extra links help to some degree. However, there is a serious question of whether it's worth paying for it. The value of link #2 is going to be less than link #1, and additional links are probably worth even less. I also think one has to consider the extra traffic before writing off the 30 link package.
I have seen sites that rank high for some competitive keywords with hundreds or even thousands of backlinks from single sites. For example a sidebar backlink from a blog with hundreds of posts.
Yes, I assume there must be some price difference between those two packages, so giving suggestions without knowing that would be simply bullshit ( just like other people are doing in this thread, there are here to post anything in answer to anything asked ) If the price difference is not too high, go for multiple websites with 10 backlinks each. While comparing the prices you need to keep in mind the quality as well, for example if one of those websites is much better than others you can buy 30 links from that one website instead of 10. Thanks all!. Yes there is price difference. One more question..... In another package, The price is same but I can either get a PR 6 home page back link or a PR 4 inner page backlink. PR6 homepage has 72 outbound links. PR4 inner page has 32 outbound links. Which one is better?
The link juice of PR 6 page is many times more valuable than the PR 4 page. no matter it is distributed to twice as many links. I hope you get the answer.
in my experience i get more 100 backlink from 1 site but most of backlink has PR N/A,so i think thousand backlink from any site is goos than thousand backlink from one site only
Generally quality over quantity when it comes to backlinking, but diversity is also important. I've seen sites get that get blogroll links where the links are sitewide from just a couple of site outrank other sites with many more indivdual links. The authority and relevance of the site you are getting links from in relationship to your site is important.
