Hello, I am evaluating use of co-op for my website for SEO link building. I can't just sign up because I am running link vault at the moment. I am interested in switching to to co-op though. 1. I expect to get a weight of around 1,000 when I sign up. How many backlinks would I be able to get with a weight of 1,000? Understing the weight to link ratio is really important to me. Would a 1,000 weight get me 500 links, 2,000 links, 3,000 links? 2. Does co-op give you control over how fast you build the links, what keyword phrases you use them with? Can you extract link lists, like you can with l-v? Are there any screenshots of the co-op control panel available? Many thanks, Nigel
You can check out my experiment page with the coop iin my sig. I am pointing approximately 6k to a site and the most links reported was yesterday at over 800 unique IP links (not counting unique IPs the number would be higher). Edit: Just wanted to add that links have been rising lately so the number may be higher evidently. I suspect that the option of having static links in the coop has slowed the number of potential unique IP links. In terms of you second question, there is an ability to control how fast you can build links but probably not as good as link-vault. Keyword phases - just read the guidelines for anchor text policies. At this point, you cannot extract links. And you can sign up to get a account and not be validated so you can see what it is like.
Thanks for your reply a389951l; I really like your experiment. I will keep checking your progress. Good luck. It would be interesting to convert your stats into charts. Looks like google was quite volatile at times, but how do you explain loosing yahoo altogether a couple of days ago? Nigel
Thanks . I hope to document the effective of the coop over a period of year to see how effective it can be. I can't explain the yahoo rankings right now. I think I may not have enought weight pointing at it perhaps? Some others have reported that the coop seems effective again for yahoo but I cannot confirm this.
