how many backlinks counts?

    Hi everyone,

I have a question about backlinks. I have 5 articles now. If I submit to 1 article directory with a backlink to my site does that mean it will bring me 5 backlinks?

What if I submit to 10 article directories, does that mean it will bring me 50 backlinks?

What about 50 article directories, does that mean 250 backlinks?

This is just referring to backlinks, not how good the backlinks are, just any backlinks.

Will they all count as backlinks or just 1 version of the article counts as backlinks? Which will mean I will have 5 backlinks even though I submit to millions of directories.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance?

    1 article with 1 link = 1 backlink

submit 5 articles to 5 websites, each with 1 link in and you have 25 backlinks. easy!

P.S - you can start with my article directory ;)

It'd be good if you spin each article. Make them unique to bypass duplicate filters

Google does not show all of your backlinks so it can be difficult to tell whether or not google will count all of the links. You should consider using a service such as submit your article you will have the opportunity to create different versions of your articles, this is great for avoiding the google duplicate content penalty.

A site wide back link and a single page back link would have different 'impact'. If you get a backlink from 10000 pages on a single site, it's not as good as getting it from 10000 different pages :)

    5 articles to 1 directories = 5 backlinks
    5 articles to 10 directories = 50 backlinks
    5 articles to 50 directories = 250 backlinks

    and so on...

We can place up to 3 links in Author section.
    So 1 article = 3 links.

And it's even better when site owners start placing your articles on their sites. If your article is really good it could get you thousands of backlinks.

I suggest you only submit to high PR directories. Its because google don't index pages from many low PR article directories, and you will not see back links in webmaster tools.

I have written a detailed post about article submission here

Submitting to the authority directories will result in good backlinks, so submit the article only in a few article directories instead of going to 100.

hey i don't believe that it is so simple.. your backlink will count and give you link juice only if the SEs see it. other way your "backlinks" are useless..
