How many backlinks can a Wordpress theme get you

    For example, I design free themes. If I add my link to the bottom of a theme and promote it on the various wordpress sites, how many backlinks could I get?

    As long as you realise that all answers to this have to be a complete guess then ill start with 400. And you will see a major increase in technorati ranking ;)

    Very nice theme. The best on wordpress themes database has had 55,000 downloads

    Depends on how long it takes you...if you can pound out a wordpress theme quickly that would result in 500 backlinks in the next few months I think it'd be worth it.

    Try it once and if it goes well you have a good system going.
