How many back links needed for getting good pagerank

    Hello guys,

    as question is in my title... and one more question... that if i have one back link from 2PR for my www.abc.com site.. and Google counting this link from last 30 days.

    is this possible that i can get 2 or 1 PR ?

    Its not like that. You have to build quality back links from high and relevant websites. Then the chances become high to get PR.

    Thanks but i know that if i get good quality links... then chances are high for me to getting good page rank... but my question was that if i have one back link PR2 .... from last one month.... only one back link 2PR.... then chance ?

    If you have a good backlink from a pr2 PAGE that have very few outbound links on it, and the page that links to you is related in content to your page, then it is possible, but doubtful, that you might get a PR1 from it.

    More than likely, you'll need a few links from PR2 pages to your site to get a PR1.

    Remember, there are many factors that 'water down' how much 'link juice' a page passes to you. Included in these 'water down' factors are number of outbound links, relevancy, no-follow attributes, robots.txt entries, .htaccess entries, and placement of the link.

    Ya I too agree to selectsplat. If you are having backlink from a PR2 site, check out the content releveancy of that PR2 site, whether it matches to your site. And believe me, you could definitely look for page rank 1 as I have seen that some websites get a PR1 with a backlink from some good and relevant single site.So that depends from where you are getting the backlink from

    about 10 one way pr3-4 links can boost your site to pr 1-2
