How many back links for each PR?

Hello friends,
How many good pr back links are needed for each pr(from pr1 to pr10)?
Did any one of you have an approximate chart?

 

Its about 100 + for pr1. I'm not sure in between, I do no that Google has 25million and is page rank 10. I think it would be an exponential curve, so it gets harder for each step.

 

It's not about volume, it's about the quality of the links.

A single authoritative link can be enough to achieve a Page rank 5.

 

I agree with Pedro, quality not volume. I sometimes link my websites from edu domains and they after update get Pr3 or Pr4. It's all about quality.

There are sites with 10 k backlinks that have pr6 and sites with 500 that have pr6

But anyway who cares about PR

 

Its not number of backlinks which give your PR.

If 10,000 PR0 backlinks link to your site having 500 outbound links each then believe me you will not even rise from PR0

Its quality of backlink which give you pr juice.

It depends on
1) PR of backlink itself
2) Number of outbound links on that page {very crucial}

And for ranking high on serp
3) Must be relevant/related to your niche.

dont focus on the quantity of the backlinks. you must get link from high pr and low outgoing links web sites

Very interesting article. I think this type of viral link building also has the added advantage of being from a large range of different domains - which is very difficult to recreate if you are buying links.

I am new to adsense. What is PR and why it is so importance? Why call it is called back link? Anyone can advise?

 

I thing 4 pr 8 links can easily give u pr 7

I think Google calculate the relevancy of the site.

 

Assuming each of your backlink is counted by Google, meaning that they let the backlink pass PR points, you can roughly expect;

if 20 PR1 backlinks from a page that has 50 outbound links - your site gains PR1

if 4 PR2 backlinks from a page that has 50 outbound links - your site gains PR1

if 1 PR3 backlinks from a page that has 50 outbound links - your site gains PR1

 

In my opinion PR is very confusing how it works. I will give you an example. www.webcosmo.com is my site, its only 5 months old. In the beginning I started link exchange using linkexchanged.com, I got PR 3 in two and half month. I had about 800 backlinks. I abused the program to get links from just anybody. Idea was to get some initial traffic. And it helped.
Now I stopped doing link exchange thinking of long term effect on PR. I would be needing that to draw organic traffic from SE. Now I added my site to some PR 6 and 7 directories and also lot of free ones. So these would be giving me one way links mostly from the page "classifieds". DO YOU CALL IT A RELATED NICHE?

 

If you have only few quality backlinks then u can get better PR !
