G'day, I was just wondering how many Aussies are members of DP? The reason being that I often have Australia specific questions of projects and it would be handy to be able to get feedback and advice from other Aussies. Give a brief intro. I'm boomer. I live in Langwarrin in outer south eastern Melbourne. I'm 41 (I think) and have a few websites which I use to make beer money.
Hi boomer03, 44 y/o bloke from Brisbane here. I've been playing with websites since February of this year and still haven't achived anything that is worth mentioning. Still a newbie in this field but trying very hard to make it work. Cheers mate.
Hi Aussie mates 46 y/o lady (well, most of the time ) from Adelaide here. I work on our sites with my husband... he's the webmaster genius, I'm the content writer mostly, we both come up with the inspiration, motivation and perspiration. Have one parent site, with related subdomains being developed in the family and educational type area, and all things related. Monetised with Adsense. With a previous site (which we didn't own ourselves, although we did all the work, and unfortunately no longer have access to) we made $150-$250 a day with Adsense. Just started out with this new site (ours this time, yay!) back in February. Income is slowly climbing, but only at about 10% of previous income so far. We'll get there in time! Cooee cobbers... onya mate... and all that jazz
Stick with it Briz. I've been trying to make beer money for about 3 years and am only just starting to see a few cans here and there. It's great fun though.
Yes it is fun. That's the main reason I still keep going, although it can be very frustrating sometimes. My site (in my sig) is now over 4 months old but there is very little action (getting around 20 visitors per day) and no movements in SERPs. Let's hope it wont take too long for few cans coming my way. heh
Another Queenslander here! You can see what I do online for the links in my signature. I also do Global Domains International - which is for the average job the easiest way to get online. Most of the people on DP are webmasters, etc so it doesn't meet their hosting needs, unless they are desperate for the perfect domain name and the .com and others are taken.
Me Me!! I am an Adelaidian too Never heard of Aussies being called Boomers before, but I guess I am one of them Am happy to help out if you have any questions. Have been working online for almost a year now. Cindy
