How many articles per week?

    Hello members,

I'm planning to launch my online service website within the comming weeks. I was thinking about link building and other marketing activities. I decided that I would submit 2 articles per week (every week) related to my niche using a service like isnare.com or other in order to build links to my new website and receive visitors.

I would like to know your opinion about this kind of strategy. Wouldn't it be too much articles for one week? I really don't want to get penalized by search engines because of gaining too much backlinks within a relatively short period of time. Currently the website is completely new and has no visibility on search engines.

Should I submit only to selected article directories or should I use auto-submission services like isnare and others?

    Thanks!

I usually start small, just submitting one article every week to the main directories. Then after a few weeks start using isnare, and getting links from other sources as well. Once the site is established 2 or more articles in a single week should not be a problem.

This is a cautious approach, but if you aren't in a rush, why take any chances?

Thanks guys for your thoughts... Maybe anyone would like to add their thoughts/share some more of their experience how to start submitting articles for a new site?

I was also thinking about putting a blog on the website and posting there articles first. Then once articles get posted, I would submit them to article directories. Wouldn't this hurt? There would be a lot of duplicate same article content on the web and on my blog... Wouldn't search engines penalize this? Or at least mark the blog as supplemental?

    Thanks!

I'd guess your blog would go supplimental as google would favor the versions on authority sites like ezinearticles.com. Would appreciate hearing other views on this.

you should only submit 2 article (do it manually) to 2 article directories. If you are doing article submission using isnare and other services your articles will not give you back links because they are in supplemental results. Check them in 3-4 weeks later.

Correct me if I am wrong, but why don't you submit hunderds of articles to many article directories at once without submitting your website to any search engine? Then when you have the backlinks, get your website indexed. Or would that also cause a penalty?
