It totally depends on my mood and niche. I can write upto 15 500 words articles in a day without a problem.
I think it still depends on the topic. I, for example, can write 10 300-word articles about cooking or cleaning, but if it's about techy stuff, like automobiles or banking, I'd only write 5 to 7 300 word articles in a day.
It is completely based on the familiarity with the topic, and how much research is needed. Once the data is in my head, then the words can flow. On a topic I know well, I can do 15+ 500 Word Articles in a day. If it is a new one, or one I'm not as comfortable in, it drops to about 10 a day. I have written as many as 25 in one day, but by the end of the day I thought I was losing my mind. For hitting a deadline, I will push upwards to 20 articles in a day, but it makes for a long day.
Oh yes, I forgot, typing speed matters a lot. If you have tons of ideas, but you type sloooowly, then it's likely that there's less amount of articles accomplished.
I think that for most people, the typing speed is not an issue. Most people here, at least the content writers, probably type at a somewhat decent pace. This makes getting the words down a simple and fast matter. Finding the right words to put down becomes the hard part. I will agree that it can be tasking sometimes to research an area and then form content based on that research. But, when I spend what seems like a small amount of time researching, and it ends up taking me an hour to write an article, I can't help thinking that my typing speed is the culprit. I hope to eliminate this barrier through practice and be turning out 10 to 15 articles in a day instead of only 4 to 5. The members here have proven to me that it is certainly possible.
Ahm.. it always depends on a topic.. There are topics which are easy to write about.. And another thing, I believe it also depends on the mood you have before writing..
I've been averaging about zero per day this past week. I'm having some serious procrastination issues.
And there lies the biggest reason for low productivity on almost every person - Procrastination. My worst productivity days are always when I procrastinate on starting to write, then I procrastinate on how I should write it, then procrastinate if it is good enough. When I just get up in the morning, finish breakfast, grab the cup of coffee, and start typing, the day all starts flowing and productivity is great. If I wait 30 minutes before getting started, it takes a lot more effort to get going. That is why I always make sure to turn on the laptop before heading downstairs, carry it along with me, so I have a reminder sitting right beside me while I finish breakfast. (It is also good to have a wife who enjoys shopping, she reminds me to get busy. Actually she is a great motivator, and gently reminds me what time it is, and not to let the day get away from me.)
I have gotten behind on articles recently and had to work longer hours as means to get caught back up. Took a couple day off because of the Flu. I have worked as many as 15 hours in a day writing articles. This has brought the thought of outsourcing work, but with the quality that I have gotten in return, it just is not worth it. I want my clients to come back, so if I can give them the quality that they want they will be repeat. So, right now I use Market Samurai to lookup content on a subject. This gives me the research needed without actually having to look it up manually. I am sure that there are other research programs out there, but MS is just totally awesome.
I have heard of Market Samurai before. So, you guys have had a pretty good experience with it? I will have to look into that since a research aid could really improve productivity. Does anyone else recommend MS or something similar?
Market Samurai is going to let you do some very quick research on what other phrases could or should be used in the article. It also is great for looking at high ranked blogs and articles to see what kind of content has been written about, and what the competitive articles look like. Once you've done some really fast research in MS, you then have good clues on what sites you may want to look at really quickly for other information. I'd guess MS cuts my research time in half. For a generic article, I may never leave MS.
I can write 5-7 articles/day same length of 500 words (alongwith some online learning activities, not earning only)
Hi, I am a full time freelance writer.I work from 10am to 7pm with 1 hour break.I can manage upto 15 articles of 500 per day, depending on the project requirements I can stretch the number of hours I work to make sure the deadline is met. Thanks, Shruthi
I write about 20 500-word articles daily. I can do this by studying a given topic for about 3 hours and write about all the important matters that I have learned. I think it all has something to do with creativity. I focus on matters that will be of great importance to readers. A touch of creativity will help you get the flow of words that you need to make sure that your content appeals to a market segment. Try to concentrate on the "need" that a market segment may have about a given topic and you will never run out of ideas even if you may not be "in the mood" to write that day. Please feel free to drop me a line any time if you need any assistance in getting articles done or marketing your business online. Have a nice day.
It actually depends on many factors. Still, if the topic is not too technical I can write 5 articles of 500 words in a day.
