I just saw a message on another forum about article marketing.....

my response was at least 5 articles a day every day....and this coupled with blogs and squidoo, and hubpages, and other FREE methods..generates real income for me...full time income..

    but....

article marketing is FREE not easy....and sooooo not automated..

    so...how bout you???....

how many do you commit to a day...and if you don't do 5+....do you plan to in order to achieve solid success??

If I could, I would do 30-50 a day! pretty exhausting, but the long term success is well worth it! bum marketing works! I had gotten a sale off of just writing articles, and made another sale today, doing viral video.

Just keep kicking away at it, and you will get there! I know I need to!

You don't have to do 5 articles a day. Remember, it's not about quantity, it's about quality.

1 quality written article might bring you more sales, then 5 poorly written ones.
Make a schedule and stick to it. It's important to write regularly.

I do have to agree with steve on this. The reason why I advocated a huge amount of articles, is because each one bring a backlink with relevant content to your website, and therefore helping your google serp result increase.

But yes, the quality issue has strong consideration, because of structure, and the ability to entice the reader to pull their wallet out and make a purchase.

squidoo lenses do. They monetize through amazon sales and google adsense. They split the profits with you. You have a choice of donating any of your earnings, or keeping them,

You will do much better using your articles for yourself and putting them to work on your own business...

have them working all the time for you rather than the one off payment...

Guys, there have been so many threads about bum marketing.

I guess I am going to be involved in it pretty soon and will be working on it full time, writting and posting articles.

I have gathered enough energy to dive into this method. I will start with articles and blogs to start with so that only expense is my time. No out of pocket expense.

Five articles a day, you are either a genius, or are writing
    worthless crap.

    I am a qualified low-end genius (IQ 145), I have read over 1600
books since I started keeping track when I was 19.
I have written about 1000 articles in 8 years, about
40 of which bring in significant traffic. So this is about
    5 articles per year.

Filling the internet with plagiarized, trivial, or duplicated crap
is no way to spend your life.

    best regards

Completely agree with what's been said so far.

Quantity is important for market presence & backlinks,
but quality is essential for credibility, click-throughs and
the chance your articles will be re-published by others, hence
    more backlinks.

Originality is also essential. The SEs view content with 30%
similarity as duplicate (as last I heard anyway).

If bum marketing is your focus have a look at icontentrobot
coming soon. Could make your life a lot easier ;)
Unlimited unique content generation with one click with over
70% uniqueness (is that a word??). Worth keeping an eye on.

One last note. If you 'have' to choose between quantity or quality,
    go with quality everytime!!

    Cheers!
    Dave :)

old news indeed! I am not here to promote my IQ. I am here for the same reason you all are here! And that is to communicate about the ebbs and flows of internet marketing.

My IQ btw is 125. Most of it is being borrowed for PHP/MySQL! lolz

Yeah, keep yuchin' it up ManchesterTech. Wizardofx comes on here and writes the most intelligent post in this thread and you start rippin' on him saying that his post is part of the crap on digital point. YOUR posts are the crap.

In all honestly, I know who Jamie is and I think he knows what he's talking about. Tell him to come over here and look at what you are posting, and I'm confident he will tell you to stop.

Well I for one DON'T know how many to submit. This is why I'm testing it all. Short 250-300 articles and noticing results.

In the next week I intend to post about thirty 400-600 words long articles. And notice how they convert.

As for content I go in niches where I can bring something of value to the table. I don't know for you, but I simply don't understand why would someone go in niche they know nothing of. At least not at the start...

At the same time, if you're not being able to give them what they are searching for you are basically shooting yourself in your foot.

Also, I don't believe that it's any tougher to produce a quality article then a bad one if you know what you are talking about.

If I find a great long tail keyword and I know what I'm talking about I am able to make a 350 words long article in 15-20 minutes. I can give them bad or good advice, in either way it will take me about 15 minutes to write it.

    As for the duplicate content...

I'll give you two examples right now:

"How to attract a great girl"
"How to find an interesting woman"

Now look at those titles and tell me how different content do you have to write for each of them? The core advice is the same... You can not write two totally different articles in as small niche.
Tips will be the same because the same things apply for both long tail keywords.

Give me 20 good long tails and I will write twenty 350 words long articles in a day... It's not rocket science... It's just another form of work. Are secretaries that work 8 hours a day making new discoveries each and every day? Are managers inventing new techniques for every problem they run in? Are personal trainers giving different advice to each and every person?

Are you saying that your other 960 articles are "Filled with plagiarized, trivial and duplicated crap".

BTW - 147IQ and I have read about 3 books since I started keeping track 20 years ago. ( Actually I have written 3 as well so I guess if I count my own I have read 6)

Anyways, thanks for the post wiz. I need a good laugh at night.

    LMAO....I hear that.....

    the thing is:

me and a friend of mine write beween ten and twenty articles a day, and they ALL get submitted to Ezinearticles.com so I am sure Ezine would let us know if our articles are crap...and the articles wouldn't hold in the SERP's or make us sales if they were crap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
