How many Amazon links you add per post?

I sometimes put 5 or 6 Amazon links in one post. I always use text links. I want to make sure reader can't miss it.

Is this bad for SEO. Is that to many outgoing links? I have no outgoing links except from Amazon.

    What do you think?

All to the same product? Seems like overkill. Amazon text links can be marked with the nofollow attribute. I find this is a Good Practice.

What do you mean, if you build an amazon blog to sell products then you probably would rotate depending on the niche. If your niche was ipods then you would add in ipods and apple products.

How can I add nofollow attribute? I use link cloaking plug in, is that enough? And, I don't link to the same product, but to few of them...

There's no set rule on how many links you should place on any article. The rule of thumb is to make sure the content is captivating enough and the links are strategically placed, that's all. Most people read by moving their mouse over the content, so strategically using anchor links are vital. But make sure they point to a place where they can find out more about the topic linked to, and earn you referral in the process.

    Good luck

If I'm talking about a specific product, one at the top and one at the bottom. This way I can capture both the impulse buyers and people that read through before being sold.

Don't forget you could also link to specific reviews on Amazon (they will still get you a sale if they click through) and to categories for alternative products. Nofollow your outgoing links just in case, but it shouldn't matter for SEO anyway

I use 2-3 links per blog post. Sometimes I mix things up with click bank product links with amazon links. The only thing one has to be clear is that you must add a product link which highly related to your content or you write a blog post for this product itself. Having unrelated product link on a blog post which has nothing to do with the product is waste of time.
