Hello, I just completed building my amazon site http://www.comfortflat.com/ I just want to know how many links are allowed per article? For example if you open http://www.comfortflat.com/skechers-womens-bobs-ballerinas-ballet-flat/ you will see I have placed 6 links. Is that okay or I need to reduce it? Also please let me know if my site is under amazon guidelines! Regards, Adwait
You can use as many links as you want/need to better your conversion rate. As long as you don't show fix prices, you don't use any Iframe, etc you are safe. regarding the Privacy Policy, my advice is to use the tipicall form they offer.
I don't think Google have a problem with too many links to Amazon, I have Squidoo lenses with 15 links to Amazon that rank well.
Guys! Guys! Guys!! I don't have words to express! I just want to thank you all! The reason is, it was my 1st site on Amazon and I am almost $50 I successfully converted 28 sales! Just 3 sales behind to hit 6.5% commission! I never expected such great success in 1st go.! I must say I am a new good SEO guy. My self SEO brought me this success. I recently started my SEO services on DP too. I hope my services will give such success to others too. If anyone interested can drop me a PM.
i have a question, since i cant able to start a thread in this sub forum for the reason i dont know, i will just ask it here. Here's the situation, a prospective buyer went to a site and clicked the site owner's amazon associate link and redirected to amazon but didnt purchase anything. Then he went to another site and clicked another amazon associate link that belongs to another person but again he didnt purchase anything. However after few hours, he went back directly to amazon and purchased a product. my question is, who will get the commission? the owner of the first site or the second? ive read that even though a buyer didnt purchase at the moment he came from amazon through your site, still you will get the commission if he purchased within 24 hours.
The second cookie will overwrite the first and you'll be credited with the sale; however, some people have observed that if the person visited Amazon on their own within 24 hours and then clicks your link that you won't get a commission.
Your links are not cloaked and i can see your Affiliate ID easily. The site looks great. If you are concerned about links, add no follow tag to them to avoid possible Google penalties. The number of links does not matter.
I agree that you can link as much as you like and Amazon will not care. Your website looks good and I believe you will have good success if you keep building traffic to it.
I agree that it's more likely to be ranking with google for the page that you should worry about when you have lots of amazon links than amazon themselves. I have a couple of pages on a site that rank top result for several of their KWs and have up to 6 contextual amazon links, but those are 1500+ word detailed posts and other authority links mixed in. A short post with only a bunch of amazon links might not work too well. More isn't always better anyway.
