If you think so then you are in the wrong place:D
There are still more lucrative job markets than programming
Doing something where you are your own boss, no late arrivals to office, seeing the frown on your boss face, begging for vacations
Here you are the boss, do whatever whenever you like and doing something for yourself rather than making money for some corporation who is least interested in you other than your work:mad:

Internet is about you , you and you only:p

Making money the way you like it

Making money when you want it

More important making money for yourself

    The Satisfaction-unparalleled:)

    Great thoughts !!!.
That is why I also hate corporations (unless I am the owner).
During my first years as a programmer, I worked my as* off, and I received a miserable salary.
Today, working as a freelancer programmer and managing some blogs, I make many many times that money.
I guess that in the future big corporations will disappear, nobody wants to work like a slave and be paid like one. Guess that technology will enable workers to be completely independent from companies, they won't have to work in a certain location, so they will have more decision power.

Im gonna say it again, working for a company sucks!.

I think that one of of the things that people are failing to realize is that most folks who are making millions on the internet don't have all their eggs in the AdSense basket. In order to make that kind of money, you have to have tons of traffic. If you have that kind of traffic, you will find that there are other ways to monetize your site(s) that is much more lucrative than AdSense.

I have personally had AdSense placements that were doing pretty well, $7 to $10 eCPM, fetch over $50 CPM on some niche sites that get pretty good traffic.

If you have the traffic to support it, banner advertising is the way to go and you will find that almost all sites making serious money utilize them.

    Well you said it right

But for a beginner, adsense is the way to go since once you are up and running earning some 50-100$ a day with few websites and once the income is steady, then you have the confidence and above all grit to experiment

Once you start off with other experiments, then you know "sky is the limit" or rather "sky is no limit"

I think there a million easier ways to make a million dollars. Also if you are bringing in millions of dollars in Adsense, you are doing something wrong. Adsense is great for smaller sites but once you get to that upper teer you start selling your own ads as well as other affiliate deals. Member lists get awfully valuable at that point also. Point is if you are making a million dollars from Adsense you could be making $20 million by monetizing your site right. Sorry to burst your bubbles.

Well ..This Thread is going on a very Right track and i am sure people muct be enjoying the way its going and will keep going up.

Before 11 to 12 months i started one website and got Huge responce that month it self since i have inhouse SEO professionals working for me.

Till now i have developed around 15 websites of 10000 Pages Each approximate and now the stage has come where i am making approx $40000 per month and i am very much impressed the way everything is going.

The main reason behind this Success is I targeted the Industry in which no one was using adsense even though Traffic was very high on their websites. So i developed websites got them on TOP and now website is just givign me money nothing else. Till now the industry i have targeted & TOP Players who are in this industry are no using adsense, Only my websites which are on TOP every where is making money since it has adsense.

    Regards

I have got some interesting rankings of lead earners from adsense
    1: Markus Frind: PlentyOfFish.com - $300,000 per month
    2: Kevin Rose: Digg.com - $250,000 per month
    3: Jeremy Schoemaker - $140,000 per month
4: Jason Calacanis: Weblogs, Inc. - $120,000 per month
5: David Miles Jr. & Kato Leonard - $100,000 per month (Freeweblayouts.net, which gives away designs that people can use on MySpace.)
    6: Tim Carter: AskTheBuilder.com - $30,000 per month
    7: Joel Comm - $24,000 per month
    8: Shawn Hogan – DigitalPoint.com $10,000 per month

Well that is a cool list, but the listing dont have big corporations-well i think they dont need to be there, if you have that kind of money to start a big corporation-then one wouldn't have been using adsense i suppose
