I started out with putting as many ads as I possibly could. That might not have been the best decision.
You are probably right! Although as far as I am aware, only three will appear and you'll be left with blank space in the rest.
I didn't put more than the maximum allowed. I was talking about cutting down from 3 ad blocks to 2 and actually increasing CPC.
I think it used to be. Check the link to the Google ToS I included above and you will see that it clearly states,

Please read the TOS... this is a basic question that doesn't need to be answered by a thread. I only say this because there's a lot more complicated things with Adsense about following the rules to not get your Adsense account banned...
WHat 3 link units??? Yuo can make a whole navigation menu with that and 100% clicks... 3Link units is overkill... SO to sum it up: 3 normal units 3 link units 2 search box 3 referalls Is that right???
