How many Ads per Adgroup

I've just started using Adwords about 3 days ago.

I thought it was pretty easy at first..Then I started figuring things out, and it just got harder and harder.

    Few questions I currently have

    1. How many ADS should I have PER AdGroup?
    2. I have 5 Ads and 22 Keywords all in on AdGroup. Is that okay?
    3. I've been playing with my ads and yesterday I had like 300 impressions and 5 clicks, and today.......SO FAR I have 23,472 impressions, and 23,367 of them came from 1 AD!!

Why would all my impressions be coming from only 1 ad when I have 4 more, and probably better keywords and things.

    4. I see MOST of the 23k+ impressions have been in Display Network. But why only 1 Ad out of the 5? What about the rest.

I think I have more questions, but I don't want to get flamed for asking.

well impression doesnot means anything, it is estimate nothing real.
you can run 5 add per add group but i will advice you to run i ad in one add group as ifgoogle bans your one account than you can save atleast 4 otherwise nun.

google is very strict now days so it is better to fallow his rules seriously.

    Thanks for the reply.

I still dont understand why all the impressions in one ad and not the rest.

And getting all those impressions are killing my CTR.

Q1. Test two active ads per group. Pause lesser performing one, create new ad. Repeat.
Three ads should be your maximum but I rarely have more than two. Therefore...

Q2. Five ads is too many. If the keywords are relevant, you can have hundreds. But normally, if you organize it properly and have tightly focused keywords in each group, you'll have between 10 and 50 keywords. Could be more in some cases, could be less.

Q3. Mixing search and content networks is not a good idea. Keep them separate.

Q4. Make sure that you are on the Rotate ads setting, not Optimize which is the default setting (as is the content network). This is a campaign level setting.
