How many ads can you have on a page ?

I was under the impression that the limit was:

three ad units + 1 links unit, but after reading again the adsense guidelines located here:

    https://www.google.com/adsense/supp...&sourceid=aso&subid=ww-ww-et-asui&medium=link

This is what I saw :

    So this is :

    3 ads unit + 3 links unit ?

I look at my site and I see one long page. What is the definition of a page? Is it one post for equals a page, or is it 2 posts equal a page?
I would like to have more ads going down the side of my site, but I don't want to violate the regs. Can you help me out?
    Thank you

    It says from google:
    # Up to three ad units may be displayed on each page.
    # Up to three link units may also be placed on each page.
    # Up to three referral units may be displayed on a page, in addition to the ad units, search boxes, and link units specified above.

So does this mean I could in total have 9 on one page? as long as I split it up 3,3,3?

A "page" would be a unique url. so yoursite.com/cats.html and yoursite.com/dogs.html are counted as 2 pages, no matter how long they are.

If you need more units on a page add yahoo or bidvertiser.

But you need to use different ad formats or color scheme, in order to distinguish two ad networks.

link ad units are terrible, it requires the user to click on the unit.. then again click on ads all listed on a page.. very bad idea.

The less you use the better. You will have higher paying ads from adsense on the ones you have on site. If you can get away with 2 ads and 1 text link and search i would use that many.

i would suggest to try and place some ad units and see for yourself what works and what not, make sure to add channels for every ad unit you, that way you can monitor what ad units/placement get the most clicks, you can also check out your competitions ads placement in your niche or check out ads placement and amount of ad units on other sites

that way im sure you will find the best combination of placement and amount of ad units for your site

    regards
