Hi, I am planing to submit my website to thousands of directories using the (Regular with reciprocal or Regular) link type can you people estimate after a month of submission how many actual links on indexed directory pages will be pointing to my sites? as a percentage will there be 5% or less? thanks
It probably depends on how much time you take to research the directory before you submit. Like checking the page of the category you submit your link to see if it is indexed already and then how fast the directory approves submissions. I've heard that, although it is faster to use software, it isn't good because you may be submitting to "bad neighborhoods" that will accept anything, including adult content, online pharmacies, and other sites you do not want your link next to.
don't do reciprocal........it isn't worth taking the chance linking to someone you shouldn't. Links to you are fine. It is when you link to them that hurts you. I hired someone here for $10 to submit one of my sites to 600 directories. I probably got about 30% of them showing as backlinks checking via Yahoo. YOUR TIME is much better spent on finding good sites to get linked from. You can also get a 2 month sponsorship from best of the web for free. I wouldn't do reciprocals unless the directory is in your niche or you can google some of the text on the page. If it shows up in the search engines then it is worth a reciprocal, if it doesn't then it probably isn't worth your time.
very nice pr6 page! and it has only 2-3 outbound links, i'd say for any one who has a video games website, that's probably one of the best links you can get on the internet, congrat.
