Ok I have been on here a few months and most of the posts are a load of rubbish about earnings like how much did you earn this month etc and I made such an amount from a click, big deal. ! I want to make money from my blog and I know there a few of you out there who are good genuine peeps. So how many of you have had your site over 2 years and can let me know when you reach that point where your site starts to make you money and it grows month by month. Jeeeez all I want is some good genuine advice so please could some of you share your Blog experiences. Cheers all.
Bad Company - I've had adsense for almost 4 years now and it took a while before I found a site that generated any decent revenue. I now have 4 sites that produce as well as a blog. It just takes some time to get it rolling and you really have to generate traffic that is very specific to your site. Blog daily, add new content to your web site daily, keep the site clean of all sorts of junk that takes away from your ads and keep the content in your site related to the keywords that you are targeting. A couple of hundred dollars a day is very possible after a little while.
Cheers my friend, can you tell me if I am looking at a year or more to earn that sort of money. I am prepared to put the work in but I just want an idea of the time period required to achieve it, and thanks again for replying.
After a year, you should be easily making 100.00 on a daily basis averaged over a month period. Weekends are slow for my sites but they make up for it on the weekdays. I'm sure that if you put in the work ( I work about 12 hours a day) the success will follow.
yeah, id say expect a year before seeing any major success the first few months will not see much, even if you put a lot of work into it, as you are still establish your website's reputation and traffic
You can achieve this in around 6 months of time if you will work with 100% dedication. First of all your should finalize NICHE of the Blog or website you would like to go for. You need to very careful while designing of website or blog is going on, make sure design is unique & Impressive so that you will keep getting return visitors. Also try to decide unique Menus for your website with quality content. Once all this is done you should take advice of SEO expert & start optimizing your website, that is all needed my friend. In 6 months of time you would be able to start earning at least $20 - $25 daily from this Website or blog from adsense alone. Let me know if you need more support from me

My main niche is Heart Attacks and Health but I am also doing a Joke, News and Movie site. Now another thing is I was posting to various other sites to get reads but I then noticed they got the topspot in the google search. I was getting just under 200 visits and its now dropped to about 30. Thing is I want my posts to be top in google as I think longterm this will earn me more money. What other ways can I increase traffic or is a case of keep posting and be patient. Oh and thanks for those replys as they have given me a boost to know that the hard work and patience will pay off. So how to get more traffic without losing the spot on google, help please !
Course, if these nimrods are going to lie about clicks, amounts earned etc, who's to say they are honest about site ownership length? Reach what point? Mine grew from day one and it earned money from day one.
I am less optimistic than other posters to this thread. You may be lucky and find the golden niche(s) that others here have, but I suspect that most people are like me... After two years of adsense my best monthly high is $400, but the average is around $200 and yet I have hundreds of more pages of content online than when I started. Now it maybe that I am lousy at this or it could be that this is much harder that it looks... Bottom line is that it is probably a bit of both - Today I am much better at writing and creating web pages and sites. I am also much better at marketing. And this month is going to be better (it already is) than my revenue a year ago. Still, unless you are lucky or, obviously, smarter than me, your expectations may not be met - this does not seem to respond to a magical wand although I keep waving one...
I gotta' believe that the heart attack site would generate some decent money after a while. I would surely post in medical forums with that site as your signature as well as continue the normal stuff... blogging and such. I think you just need to hang in there with that one. I don't know about the joke/news/movies site as I would tend to think that there is an abundance of competition there but it may be enjoyable for you.
