Indeed. As "sprabhu" said, a blog on blogspot does not need a sitemap. It is created automaticly by google, via the rss feed. To see your blogspot sitemap, go to yourdomain.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default?orderby=updated
This is the best way to create your sitemap. However, you cannot modify the robot.text file so if you want to control the robot, please modify your meta tag at the head section of you blog.
so just to clarify you have to add the atom.xml yourself you can't just use the link that pops up when you hit the rss icon?
I use atom.xml in webmaster tools and it seems to work as expected. Seems to me I had to check something in blogspot setting somewhere, and I was messing with feedburner for a while too. I found some link that posted a step by step guide with screen shots, don't remember what it was. I don't recall it being that complicated though, it was pretty simple and only took a few moments.
For anyone who still confuse to create and submit sitemap on blogger. i got new information that will be useful. As we knew that the default sitemap only listed 26 page of your blog. With this tool you can submit unlimited sitemap pages. You can read more complete at kangibe.blogspot.com.
