How low PR website can beet high PR website

    My website having 2 PR and my computer having 5 PR website How i can beet my computer. At present i am in 6th place by the keyword "Server Support" my web site is " WWW.provaltech.com " give me some great idea to get 2nd possession on google.

    there is no connection of PR with website value, u get automatic pr if u have good no of inbound link and ranking.

    you are comparing two different things. position in search engine ranking (SERP rank) is totally different with PageRank. if you want a better serp rank, you have to beat your competitors on that keyword, do some seo works, it could be onpage and offpage, vary things from fresh unique high quality content, good structure and internal link distributions, inbound linkwheel, etc

    Now-a-days PR has no value....If you want to beat your competitor, you have to build backlinks to your site, also do some on-page and off-page SEO.... Hope this helps !!

    A high PR doesn't mean high rankings. If your website is well optimized with quality content and having more quality back links than a high PR website, you can easily get high position than that.

    I wouldn't really say "automatic"... there is apparently quite an element of luck involved. Google has said that not all pages deserving a pagerank increase would get one. Lots of pages get passed over.

    I remember when I had a PR-showing plugin installed on my browser, whenever I keyed a search into Google the pages up top tended to be higher PR than the ones further down. It wasn't exact but there's a definite corrlation.

    PageRank is useless. Stop wasting your time looking at it. Google laughs at PR junkies, and so do I. I have sites with zero PR outranking PR8 websites all day long!!

    I don't recall using any absolutes or saying that you needed high PR to get up there. I just think that to ignore something that's right in front of you is stupid.

    Do good SEO one way or another, rank well and your PR tend to rise over time.

    they are different things, you can beat a high page rank website with no problem, forget about pagerank and build backlinks
