how low of traffic per month is too low?

im just wondering, should I target phrases that only get say 2000 searches per month in overture or is it a waste of time? It seems everything is very competetive above this number, and most places have better prices then any affliates I can find.

When you don't see results is when your traffic is to low or not targeted enough. If something is making you money stay with it. Test Test Test!

yea but will my site get sandboxed even with a small niche, the whole sandbox potential is screwing me up.

in fact, I dont see why I cannot rank on googles first page within a few weeks with a small niche....am I missing something here? It seems a bit too easy, ive just heard all these sandbox rumors and they have changed my thinking. Will the sandbox effect small keyword target niche sites?

I rank top for a search engine that gets over 1000 searches on Overture....then again phrases that get over 2000 are probably way too competitive for me to rank for so yeah, this is how I manage by ranking at the top for a lot of not-so-competitive keywords.

Yes you can get a 1st page ranking for non competitive keywords in a week or two but there wont be much traffic. One good thing is though that those searching that keyword are really looking for that product or whatever it is you are trying to sell. Start off by going after a not so competitive keyword and then over time try for the bigger keywords.

this is interesting. I know 1000 searches per month are not much, but if its a very targeted phrase for something people are trying to buy couldnt that bring a decent monthly profit. I mean say 50 per month? Now you set up 10 of these sites and you have 500 per month. Not much I know. Has anyone every had any success doing this with such small keyword phrases? Also will you avoid googles sandbox with these very small targeted keywords. I would be interested to know ez-online money how well you do. Thanks
