Wait at least for a week. If you don't receive any reply, write to Google, telling them about the matter. Remember to make sure to keep your site according to what the Adsense Terms & Conditions say.
I've heard people being approved in hours, and taking a month. But according to google if it takes more than 2 weeks there is a problem or something is out of the normal. Take the time until you get approved to improve your site so when you can finally put those ads up you'll get more money.
