I'm just wondering how long everyone spends on writing content each day, replying to e-mails and marketing your services? I guess i'm spending around 1-2 hours a day writing football articles only, which is more than enough for me at the moment. I probably then spend another 20-30 minutes sending PM's out and trying to sell my service.
I do this full-time. That's 7 hours a day of work (5am - noon, most days) - and then I use my last hour of a typical 8 as my lunch hour, and don't work then. I often spend extra time in the afternoon or evenings pursuing more of my own writing-related projects, if I didn't have time for them during the typical work day. I only work late on client projects if I have a rush order (where they paid more for me to work late), or if I'm behind on things for some reason (like if I had to run business-related errands earlier in the day that took longer than planned). I try to keep as close to a "normal" amount of working hours as possible, in an effort to reclaim my private / social / family life.
It depends on the day and my energy level. Since I work a full time regular job too, I spend about 4-5 hours a weekday writing, researching, marketing, emailing, blogging and about 7-8 hours on Saturday. Sunday, I catch up on all my reading.
I am writing content 8 hours each day, except the weekends, but if there is something urgent I work also then.
For me it depends on the topic, if it's a personal interest of mine or something I enjoy, I'll spend good 6 hours a day writing several articles. Boring topics or something I just can't bring myself to write about is more like one article a day
