Hey again everyone, I have decided to put it to the test.

Just exactly how long would it take a newbie if they had to follow a set
    of easy steps?

I am going to try a quick challenge and see how long it takes to bring in the first commission.

I am not going to use ezine articles because for a newbie account takes upto 7 days to get the articles published and after all many newbies get put off if they don't make a sale within the first few days.

    Ok I better get going,

    1. Choose a niche
    2. Pick a good product to promote.
    3. Choose buying keywords.

This is the best way to show everyone how it's done. All the best and I'll stay tuned.

looking forwards to the results, should be interesting ... you hear so many stories, some people make money straight away, some seem to take forever!

Yeah; A good friend of mine is making like $5k/day (and I know he does; I sat next to him a few times); he told me *everything* and tried to copy it. I made nothing at all, only losses in time and money. Seems not everyone can do it maybe?

    Depends on the promotion methods.

If you go for PPC, it might be 2 days...If you go for BUM, it could be 1-2 weeks...

Hey bl4ckman I agree PPC is a fast way to make money but I am just going to stick to free methods because I want this to be as If I were a newbie and if I could just follow a strict set of instructions how long it would take to make money so no PPC.

Quick update, I searched through clickbank and I have choosen to stay away from the make money online market just to show that there is money to be made outside it.

Here are the markets I have decided to pick:

    • Dog Training
    • Fishing
    • Jewelry Making

How did I decided upon these markets?

Go into clickbank have a look around to see what is on offer drilling down each category.

Next I went into google and typed in the main broad term for my market to see if there were any advertisers, there were so good start there.

Next move was to go to google external adword keyword tool and enter in my broad term and get some good buying keywords. I chose 5 keywords for each of my markets and I will make 15 squidoo pages one for each keyword and link them to each other for some start up link juice and I have then went to pingomatic and pinged all 15 squidoo pages and also I added my hoplink.

    I left everything for a few hours to spend some time with family, here are results so far, no sales but thats to be expected as my webpages have yet to be indexed but 4 clickthroughs;

I am moving on to the next step now and will update when I have finished that.

Those sound like good niches to promote, I don't like the fact that so many people are promoting 'make money' niches, it's good to see you haven't fallen into that trap, and I wish you every success with this experiment.
