myspace facebook youtube orkut friendster blogger wordpress freewebs ... etc etc the list goes on and on...

the biggest reason the audience turning and becoming publishers themselves. and the amount of data marketing geeks do  "content for the sake of content" the broadband crunch is already in the listing. so how long do you think the web 2 will stay?

I don't think it will go away, it's just that competition will get fiercer and fiercer

I don't it will. It'll evolve into web 3.0 without any bubble burst. The reason being that web 2.0 involves the audience more than the people who created the site. Its like chatting, it won't go away, it'll always be there.

For example video sites, or any other "heavy traffic" sites.

I think as long as people keep spending real money on affiliate sales that drive the whole thing, it will stay.

I mean these websites make $$$. It is NOT like the first bubble where people thought that all you needed was traffic. No, not there are revenue models in place meaning that web businesses are every bit as viable as regular businesses.
