how long will the payment method changing be effective

    Hi , i want to change my payment method from check to direct deposit today, But i wonder weather the new payment method will be effective in this month's payment? The regular payment date is around 20th of each month.

    And should i update the tax form?

    So anybody have a similar experience ? what's your opinion, thanks
