How long will takes from build a site to gain traffic from google?

I built my site few days ago,now it being indexed by google,about 600 items. I tried to make backlikes but seems not working. The main traffic source is still digg(I submit almost every articles on digg...). I wanna know when will I get traffic from google? How many items indexed by google can make that?

 

traffic takes time. Do post some decent and interesting articles and do some work on SEO, it will better the tarffic. Also don't digg every post, your digg account may be banned. Go slow and steady and you will find traffic is in your way.

 

i think it will take more time.i build a blog severa months ago,nearly 5 months i think.but it is not traffic,i am so sad.

 

There's no definite rule about when you'll get traffic or how much you'll get. To some degree it will depend on how much work you put in, but also on how much traffic there is to be had in your niche.

 

I guess this is the most controversial topic on the web....

 

you need to do proper seo for your website and make it search engine friendly so you can get your keywords on ranking then you could get traffic from google...................

Atleast 6 months for proper traffic.

 

try to target more keyword for gain traffic from google, it takes some time, post good and interesting articles, do some seo work.

I think if you want to get direct traffic from Google. You should rank high enough in Google SERP of your targeted keywords. And, building backlinks using your targeted keywords as anchor text would be the most important channel in increasing your SERP.

I also agree that it takes about 6 months for steady traffic to start rolling in, that's of course assuming that you add fresh content consistently and do seo as well.

 

You don't have to wait 6 months to start seeing the traffic come in. As long as you're constantly building links, you shouldn't have to worry at all.

 

Well it kind of depends really , if you have a high paying keword which is popular in google searches , then you have a bit of competition and trust me you won't like to go against websites that have been around for years.

If you have a keyword or a good paying keyword and is easy to rank to pages then i suggest you to wait like 3 or 4 weeks and if you really want to be in the search engines then please update your content daily and remember not to copy others.

When traffic comes , your alexa ranking becomes good , when that becomes good then google has faith in you and will index more pages and will bring more traffic.

You need quality back links and keep publishing your posts on Digg. But try to make your back links on some other places, not only Digg. Just keep doing that and you'll be fine...

 

Do the linkbuilding , just link with related websites, do linkbuilding for each pages you have in your website, traffic will grow automatically.

 

Nice, try adding a sig link in you DP profile. That will get you a visitor here and there. I agree with the 3-6 months time frame.

 

do some work instead of complaining on forums and it might happen

 

keep working dude..the traffic won't come by itself..build some links..do some seo, article marketing, blog commenting, social bookmarking, submit your rss feeds etc. there are tons of ways

 

Google did not add backlink as fast as yahoo or msn is doing.

Google takes time to do all this so keep adding the new post and you will start getting traffic
