Hi There, I am trying to promote few of my blogs for a particular keyword. I have created some blogs a week ago and I try to search in google with the entire url of my blog and I don't see any search results. 1. May I know usually how long will it take for a newly created blog to list in google search. [Not for any keyword search but I give the entire url as keyword] 2. Btw, Shall I start doing some off page SEO works like dir submission, article submission and social book marking before my blog get indexed in google. Or Shall I wait until my blog get indexed by google and then start my off page SEO works. 3. If I start doing SEO for my blogs right away will my blog get indexed fast by google. There's no such thing as a 'usual time' for anything to get indexed - if it's got a backlink on a site that gets crawled frequently it could be half an hour. If it doesn't have any backlinks it could never get indexed. So - yes, do your offpage work, get some backlinks and it will help you get indexed.
depending on how you promore your site, it takes as little as 10 minutes or so to a week or even more to get your site indexed. what has been done so far in terms of link building? did you submit your sitemap with google webmaster tool? if nothing has been done other than setting up the blog, then you need to do the above to get your site indexed. submit to popular bookmarking sites that will get it indexed quickly
Hi, agree with you, until you wouldn't promote your blog it's impossible to get back links and good response, put it on your signature so that your blog can be visited by the visitors and could get traffic and back links.
according to my experience, the time is flexible, sometimes few days, sometimes monthes, do more work on the contents and URL, also pay attention to SEO title.
Increase backlinks as many as you can, and update your blog with quality content. I use some social bookmarking sites to promote the site. and now it is well indexed.

You can have your blog listed in Google within a couple of days, if you play your cards right. If you submit your blog to the following websites, you'll have your site cralwed in no time: - Digg - IndianPad - Design Float - Mixx - Delicious - Propeller - Design Bump - Reddit Just with these sites alone it probably takes 2 or 3 minutes per site, so 10 or 15 minutes out of your day to submit your site to these. However you'll have your pages crawled there a lot faster, so your site will be indexed from these popular PR 8 and 9 pages.
You should try to get at least one strong backlink to your blog from a high PR website. My trick is this create a blog and get a backlink from one high PR website and it will be indexed soon.
