how long will i wait to transfer a domain from a name/godaddy.com account to another name/godady.com account coz i just registered a domain yesterday and i want it to sell for a fast cash
A push to an account at the same registrar is almost instant. The push to another registrar can take up to 7 days.
no, what i mean is the waiting period to transfer a domain to another account on the same registrar coz i registered a domain yesterday and i want to sell it..will i wait a certain amount of days to transfer it to the buyer?
You should wait 60 days after registration date. Here's the original quote from icann site: You can read all conditions from here: Transfer Policy
A simple explanation: 1. Push is instantaneous..however do note that a push means that the registrar remains the same.. 2. Transfer takes around 5-7 days..and involves a change in registrar..
What I mean is push to another account not domain transfer.. i know push is instantanious but i want to know if there is a waiting period before i can push a domain to another account
it can take up to a week. the 60 days period is to change the registrar ie Godaddy.com to another registrar
ohh really, are you sure because when i tried to push the domain on name.com it restrcited me though i think this applies to godaddy
Of all the registrars that I use, there is no waiting time to push a domain name after it is registered. Only a waiting time to transfer the domain. Hope this helps
GoDaddy allows you to push the domain immediately -- but, they do have a few minutes of waiting period between status changes. For instance, if you "unlock" the domain, you will have to wait a few minutes before you can attempt to "push" or "transfer" the domain to another account. Godaddy can be slow at times. Also, you can experience problems or errors if you do not use the right account number and email combo of the person's account who you are trying to transfer the domain to. But, sometimes Godaddy shows an error even when the account number & email are correct -- so I always try the combo a couple of times before I give up and either contact the new domain owner or use the "enter new details" feature.
