It was between 8 and 9 months. I just continued to seek out inbound links till my site started to rank. I continue to seek out inbound links as they can have a large effect on rankings.
I think one way you can get out in sandbox is getting a link from higher PR sites with regular/daily updates on the sites... well thats just my opinion... just correct me if im wrong...
I have sitewide links from around 20+ PR5 and PR6 sites, from the technett! I would need a PR 7 or something to beat that :b Damn, I hate being in the sandbox! Maybe I should just put this page on hold and focus on my next launch!
Doing a search for allinanchor:"keyword" is the best way to tell. My rule is if you have go through and search page by page looking for your URL and find it then you are not in the sandbox.
It's kind of wierd, but I think my site is out of the sandbox now! I rank on top for several keywords again, and I'm starting to recieve alot of traffic from Google again!
I don't think the network is considered sitewide links. Anyway I said "might" keep you in the sandbox. I know Google has been trying to crack down on ways of artificially inflating PR. Sitewide links are one way of doing that.
It's annoying how Google try to change the internet to follow their rules! The network I'm in is older than the pagerank, and to get in you need to have a website of high quality! Screw Google.
My site was ranking 1-3 page for several keywords for a few months and now none of those keywords are ranked at all, is this sandbox or somethign else?
These days you are looking at an 8+ month wait on practically any site, regardless of unique content and backlinks....thats just the way it is. Possibly purchasing an aged domain (1+ years old) could further decrease the wait.
I got out after a week! Another friend of mine got out after two weeks! (We both had Norwegian sites)..
My site was around 8 months, but I landed on the second page for a very competitive keyword, so it was worth the wait.
