    SEO is very big area to be discussed. Some are thinking just getting links are enough for it.
    However, that is not enough, You have to get knowledge about ONSITE SEO and OFFSITE SEO.
    Getting backlinks from quality pages are coming under OFFSITE SEO... Browse this forum for more ideas.

    I just took an existing site that didn't rank for anything but was linked to enough to have a PR3 and helped get a number of top 10 spots. It is still moving higher each week. I have also created brand new blogs and had posts that show up in Google within 2 minutes in the top 10 of the search for the title of the post.

    Proper SEO can help a site quickly in some cases, but the more competition for a keyword, the more work and time needed.

    I have been working wid off site, on site links for 2 years on my blog but havnt got any luck. Hardly getting 100 unique hits a day from Google.

    search engine optimization is one type of long time income strategy where Business will be generated after ranking in major search engine like wish Google, Yahoo, MSN etc for your targeted keywords.

    Basically as per my view that seo result is depend on Keywords, because which keywords actually you are trying to optimize, if they have less competition as well as good traffic then you will get fast result in search engine for that keywords and you will get the Business leads easily with targeted traffic.

    hope you got the proper answer for your confusion. Try to find those keywords which have less competition and good search volume then you will get result of seo within 45 Days.

    seo is so mystified! If you read what google want, then give it to them you wil find that seo can be quick in some cases, but bigger the market, longer needed to reach the goal, it is not brain surgery and ever increasing traffic is possible with the right strategies. In my experience it is not that seo is soooo difficutl it is that people do not take the time learn it and then do not apply what they have learnt!

    reading would be my best advice, forums have tonnes of content for your perusal. Try the libary for seo books. Make sure your not back linking to no follow sites. Also if you have a large website you will need a higher page rank to increase on the SERPs.
