How Long Until Effects Are Seen in SERPs?

My site is currenly a PR4 and ranks fairly well in the SERPs top 10 for a number of less major keywords in the industry and 11-20 for the major keyword i the industry. Anyway I recently purchases a few high PR links to a couple of my sites. I purchased about 5 links in total, and all the sites I purchased links off have PR4 and were sitewide, one site had PR6 index and one site had PR 7 (this site's content was relevent to my own), and the links have a specific anchor (the industries main keyword) that I wanted to rank for that my site is already ranking 11-20 for. I was just wondering how long it will take before I see any effects in my SERPs and what sort of effects do you think I should see? Will I move into the top 10, considering only two or three of the site's that rank in the top 10 have high PR's than 4.

You may move up to the first page. Its best to check the sites on the first pages incoming links and see what they have in order to beat them out. PR has nothing to do with it.

But it could take awhile for the site (with your links) to get indexed by the search engine and then you get credit for the backlink. I would give it up to a month to see a change. But in the meantime I would go after some free links.

I have studied my competition over and over (I have been in the industry for over two years) the vast majority of backlinks that the sites above me have that I don't have are from site's that no longer are "active" yet are listed in DMOZ and obviously have significant PR transferred to their site's in addition to their aged domain making them quite relevnat and valuable links, so unfortunately I can't really get more links in this regard and I can only hope build links on active sites, and unfrotunately DMOZ is quite slow in my industry and not many new sites are being added. So their not a lot I can do in this regard.

My site is already indexed by the way, it has over 10,000 pages indexed and hundreds of backlinks already, and like I said has Google PR 4 (I have had this pagerank for like 18 months), so with all this noted... I can still expect the change to take a month or two? Is it reasonable if my site is normally ranked 11-15 to expect to be boosted to 8 - 10 with such links, or am I hoping for too much?
