In general, about how long does it take from the time a site/page is first visited by Googlebot until it appears for searches?
It depends on how hard you work on the site. For a new site,it may take several days or up to several months.
once googlebot visited your page, it'll be indexed soon. a better way is to do sitemap for your website and google will send spider to your site in a very short time.
First, your home page will be indexed and then, later, other pages on your site will be indexed. However, even though your pages are indexed, you'll not be ranked high in SERP. You'll need to wait for months for that, unless you have a very unique topic or niche.
According to my experience if you use Sitemap(for Google) and Urllist(for yahoo) you can easily get your home page listed within a week and about 5-20 pages with 2-3 weeks.
There is no time frame for that. To be crawled by googlebot and to be indexed by google database, they are 2 different things. Sometimes it will be less than 24 hrs, and sometimes it will be more than 1 month. Just keep getting backlinks, and your site will be indexed sooner or later.
If you really need speed for appearing in google, what some people do is buy a high (6-8ish) PR link for a month, which will usually help you be indexed in a day or two.
there is no time frame but just work on getting links from sites that are related to yours. Also putting your link in your DP signature should also help
Hello my friend! Google takes at least 15 - 20 days to recognize and index your new site. Work hard and submit it to various directories for links. This will do a lot of good.
Dunno how I did it but my brand new humor site (in my sig) got its home page indexed by Google and Yahoo in 4 days... so maybe putting it in your sig here helps bunches
All my Wordpress sites for which I have uploaded the sitemap to Google Webmasters Tool, got indexed in 48 hours. But for the rest of the sites, it depended upon the quality of backlinks. Some took a week while for some it took about 20 days.
If you get good links to specific articles, those specific articles should be indexed pretty quickly. In general google will, once a site is established, decide on an update schedule for your site: it will decide how often to recrawl your site and index pages from your site. This crawl-rate will have something to do with your PR (higher = better) and how often you change things on your site.
I would say bout a month or 2. I put up this page http://www.linkspub.com/submission-guidelines.phtml on my site about a month ago. Msn and yahoo got them, but still waiting for google to add it.
I also created a blog in google blospot. But still it doesn't appear on google results. Tried every thing with using webmasters and site submission tools like submitexpress.com. is there any other solution?
