How long until a post expires?

I searched the forum FAQ and couldn't find any specific info. on this. Just wanted to know how long it takes for a thread to expire on DP. Does it expire if it gets no responses after a certain amount of time?

    Thanks.

We do not close threads after a certain period of time. If you want a thread of yours closed you can use the bad post report feature and ask to have it closed. Many of the old threads are as pertinent today as when they were first posted.

Not really. If you're asking when it's ok to start a thread on the same topic, there's no set rule. I'd say every two weeks or so is fine...if the topic is truly dead.

If you're not getting any responses, you should probably figure out why and try to improve the pitch.

We have some sales threads here that have been active for over six months.

If DP is like most other forums then a thread will not expire as such, if it is not active for some time it will just go further down the page list.

No. This is not any option here. But we might need it due to a large no. of bumps every day...;)
