How long typically before new pages show up?

I recently added a bunch of new pages to my site but I have yet to get any traffic to those pages... how long does it typically take before new pages start getting search engine traffic?.... do I have to submit new pages first or will they eventually be indexed by google, etc...? Many thanks...

After spidering it can take from few hours to few days (3-4 days).
I think it also depend on authority of your website (main domain).

Make sure that your new pages are linked from your homepage (most likely to be spidered frequently), and from your sitemap. Sign up with Google Sitemaps and Yahoo SiteExplorer and submit your sitemaps - this could possibly help your new pages get indexed faster.

Links to your new pages from your forum signature might also do the trick...

What I usually do is selling link on e-bay for 0.1 cent, and my site is indexed super quickly.
    Just my two cents:)))))

Of course - google site map is a must

agree. it takes my sites this long to see new pages indexed in google. 1 site is 3 months old almost and the other is almost a month old. depends on where your links are coming from. deep linking is much better cause it alllows you target more keywords and the above reason, faster indexing.

I do the same for my two sites. The newer got indexed fast and gets regular updates in google (not THAT often, but it does anyways), but the older one was nt indexed yet, despite my efforts
