Hi Guys, I have a site that has backlinks etc but I have recently overhauled the on-page factors in a big way. I also have started link building using my keyword as anchor text. I am targetting a single keyword phrase it has been 4 days so far and I have seen little no change at all. Currently I rank in the hundreds but I expect it to drop dramatically. How long until the new onpage and some additional keyword anchor text do you think it will take before i see some results. I have never pursued SEO on a short-term basis so I never really noticed how long it takes. Thanks
If you focus too much on just one keyword it could be a waste of time. That type of linking looks very unnatural to the search engines. If the linking were natural, there would be at least some variation. You would probably have better success by targeting at least a few phrases at once. If the search engines see a whole bunch of links with the same anchor text, they might not count these links at all. Try to find some other terms related to 'bidding directory'. Perhaps there are some 3 - 4 word phrases that also include 'bidding directory'.
Other phrases have been used. However we are not talking 1000's of links just a few dozen. The main change is that I have changed the on page factors so that the SE's know what the site is. Thanks for the advice though.
It depends on the competition of the keyword you want to rank high for, if its not too competitive it could take a couple of weeks to see your results
