    Hi,
We spent the last 3 years building a business directory site. It is a way different then most out of the box scritps. The site offers a real value to the users and has and many functions which our competitors don't. Duplicate companies are filtered, link structure is optimized, urls are canonical, meta data is unique. The only directory similiar to our is Yelp but i can say that our is better in terms of usability and structure. We have launched the site 1 month ago but the traffic is still very poor.

What i am wondering is how long does it take for a domain with no authority and thousands of pages to rank well on Google? I know that many will say about the quality, but all pages have unique content and offer real value to the users. We are building SEO very carefully and getting links slowly, only from reputable sources.

The other thing that looks strange for me is Google index. When I search for the site:domain.com on Google i see 6000 indexed pages, but Google display only 145 of them. Page 15 of the serp's is the last one. No omitted results or duplicate pages. What do you think is happening?

This is better handled as a review. Post the domain name either as text or as an image.

What I am thinking is crawling indexing issues, you should also check the status of your robot.txt file

    Hi,
Indexing is just fine. According to Google webmaster tools - 3900 pages are indexed. When i search for: site:domain.com - Google shows 7240 indexed pages. Problem is when i start browsing google SERP's. It shows only 179 of these 7240 pages. Why do you think this happening?

Well when you search site:domain.com, you will probably be seeing the following message on the last page:

"In order to show you the most relevant results, we have omitted some entries very similar to the 78 already displayed.
If you like, you can repeat the search with the omitted results included."

if you click the hyperlink you can see the complete indexed pages, I have tried this for my site and I think this is what you want.

Let me know if it works

    Hi Sumaira Haque,
Like i said above - there is no omitted results. That is because all pages are unique so there is no way to be considered as duplicate. There should be other reason but I just can't find it. Is there someone in the forum who has experience with large websites with thousands of pages?
