How long to make "Any Site" earn $1 a day???

    Total newbie question. :p

Im working really hard on my main site, doing the SEO and directory submiting, adding content, taking all the advice off people on here.

So this may be a dumb question, seeing as the above is the advice given to get traffic, and earn cash... BUT...

I've got a host, i've got an adsense account.

I'd like to make a site that can earn me a dollar a day - with little work. Just somthing to pay for my damn hosting.

    Nothing more.
I dont want to improve it.
I dont want to make more then a dollar.
I dont want to have to spend the 5+ hours a day subbmiting to directories and the like what im doing for my main site.
Just a simple site, that can make $1 a day.

What would this be down to? Is this all to do with a (niche) market?

    Many thanks for reading this.

    Regards.

Your site just needs to be set up to make money. Are your ads relevant and in a position to be clicked? Is the traffic coming to your site of a high enough quality?

Sometimes a good relevant affiliate link will work much better than AdSense in earning that daily dollar - or AdBrite, where you get a flat fee.

Well i was making just under 90Cents a day after a week online with my blog so it's possible. Im sure i can push within the next few weeks to start making $1+ per day :)

As said above make sure your adsense code is in place were your visitors will see the ads ;)

it's not as simple as it sounds, if it was I would just create 1000 sites, and make 1000$ / day. For some subjects it's a peace of cake to get 1$ / day, for others it's just to hard to get the traffic.

Depends on the site, ive had one site bring me in $10-$20 a day after just a week or two  and other sites bring in $1 after 3 months. good luck.

The key is to pic a site topic that targets keywords that are frequently searched. This should give you good natural traffic. After that propoer placement of adsense should make a dollar a day.

Example, I had a site up for several months. Maybe averaged a dime a day with about 100 visits per day via search engine. I changed my keyword targets repositioned adsense and in 4 days I was getting 450 visits per day and earning $5 per day in adsense.

I would think the same concept could apply to a new site as well.

So how much we make depends on the keywords we use. Agreed. But what are the best website "themes" to make money?

    webmaster
    gambling
    seo
    ...?

It all depends on your sites traffic and it's topic. Some sites take of quite quickly when others just don't budge.

Just think a dollar a day from 50 websites .. lets see that would be 50 bucks a day or 1500 per month and 18 million a year NOT 18k it adds up. I love adsense. Good luck

Well its easy to earn 1$ from 1 site but to have an average of 1$/day/site is difficult if you have 50 sites. The main reason is the promotion related issues. You can easily concentrate on 1 site but maintaining consistency in 50 sites is a very difficult task in my opinion.

I agree, you can make just as much with one site than having 50 making $1 each. If you have one site then you can put more into it and spend more time making it better and updating it with new stuff which will then result in returning visitors.

With 50 you have to try and manage them all and update them all the time just to keep your visitors coming back.

    Ok...

I've done some research. After looking at what pays good, and comparing it to what has low competion..

I've come up with my niche site idea.

Keywords are paying about $1 a click to about 40c(so its not bad)
Theres also 5 or 6 other keywords paying about the same, so i can target each on diffent pages.

Google only has only 9m to 14m results for differnt keyword combos (much less then "flash games" for itsall3 ;)

No.1 on google has ALOT of backlinks -- but no.4 only has 144! i should be able to get into the top 5 with a few easy hours of directory submiting.

Really good thing is, No.1 on google isnt even listed by MSN -- and No.1 on msn is googles No.4 --- So im hoping i can get no.1 spot on msn, and google will rank me even better then 4 (we'll see)

My domain name that i've bought is KEYWORD-KEYWORD.com -- so that should also help in search results. and really really optermizing pages decriptions titles and images should also help.

Just got to make the site now (i'll do that when i get home from work.)

(p.s for any adwords users that read this - im not doing this to rip off you guys - my main thing is making a bit on the side - but my site WILL have a lot of good infomation on it, and will be worth the users time who go on it.)

    Cheers guys.

isn't hyphen domains not so good? It would of been better if it was keywordkeyword.com.

    Not mine, not yet ;)

I'm making this site just to pay for my server costs while my main site gets popular.

After reading sooo much on DP, i "think", that search engines prefer "-" to "_" and reads "-" as a " ", so it would read "KEYWORD KEYWORD" instead of "KEYWORDKEYWORD"

But i dont know matey, the example i was reading was for page names .htm, not domains, just thought i'd apply the same idea.

    Cheers.

but those _ aren't allowed in domain names (if I am right). In fact I've never seen a domain name with an underscore...

anyway, in my mind, domain name doesn't play a big role in the game so you're fine anyway ;)
