so i just made my first micro-niche site the other day, using blogspot. It's all set up. I submitted a few ezines, one is already approved. I social bookmarked the article, my site, and a hubpages profile with the link to my site on digg, reddit, and delicious. So my question is: why isn't my site even appearing into google when i type in the url in google? The social bookmarks I made show up in the search of my site's url, but the site itself is nowhere to be seen. Am i doing something wrong, or should i just wait some more? I just started trying to backlink and did all this stuff today. I have another ezine pending with my achor texted-link to my site, once it's up ill social bookmark it as well. Is this enough to get my site into google?
Update your blog everyday, you can post one article per day, or every other day. Then, submit your newly created atrticle/post to social bookmarkings to gain traffic. Everyday, submit your blog to directories, 20 per day is enough as long as you submit everyday. In 2 weeks time, if you just follow what I have told you, by that time, you already have 14 post (14 days)/ 280 directories / tons of SB's. Expect your site to show up in google. But don't forget your keyword research, this is very important.
It can take several weeks. Personnally I would stay away from blogger, ok its easy to set up and free, but shared hosting is cheap and reliable once you identify and stay with the big names
Use webmaster tools to submit a sitemap, it helps you get indexed much faster with Google. If you submit your site the usual way it can sometimes take months before Google indexes your site. Take the advice given above and try and establish as much links to the site as possible. Write articles, social bookmarking, directories etc... and your site will appear on Google soon enough. But most importantly make sure that your site is optimized with quality keywords, or else your site won't show up in the best search queries. Good luck.
