How long to get Page Rank back to inner pages?

What if for instance, I have a website with an index page that has high page rank and inner pages with good page rank.

I change only the file names of the innerpages.

How long do I get back the page rank that the inner pages lost?

As soon as they are indexed, they will have page rank. Page Rank is calculated in real time on index and recalculated often. What you see in the toolbar is a snapshot that is updated about every 3 months and is never real time.

I know about the toolbar and the 3 months thing. You are saying that my inner pages with PR 5 would be back to PR 5 as soon as they are indexed?

    Hi,

If i were You i would not change the file name. You will immediately loose the PR as the old pages get out of the index.

Gathering incoming links that cause PR 5 will take at least one year. (depands on the activity and the budget)

As long as you 301 redirect the old pages to the new ones, you will lose nothing. But yes, if you can avoid changinng the file names I would.

Yes, use redirects to preserve the PR as well as your regular visitors :)
